What is the middle metal with the Jaws of Life awarded for?

Will try to ID some of these. Not sure about value, but all are either fairly common, or there is not much demand.

First photo:
Collar tabs and Lazarus Hilfswerk patch for the Lazarus Hilfswerk uniform. Think, that these are from an older uniform, but not know much about them, other than they are Catholic social help organisation. ZB patch for Ziviler Bevölkerungsschutz (West German civil defence) winter uniform, probably 1960s-70s. Shoulderboards l. to r.: NVA general(?), Feuerwehrmann of East German volunteer fire brigades, Oberfeuerwehrmann (Niedersachsen, BRD) and Oberlöschmeister (also East German volunteers). Not sure about Simmerlach arch, but it is village in Kärnten (Austria), so maybe Feuerwehr? Not know anything about American insignia.

2nd photo:
First is Soviet (KGB?). Middle is bronze achievement award for Bavarian firemen who complete the Leistungsprüfung "Die Gruppe in Hilfeleistungseinsatz". This is exercises of rescue of person from accidents, as opposed to fire fighting. Right badge is Austrian - achievement award (Leistungsabzeichen) in silver? for Landesfeuerwehrverband Kärnten.
